BMBS Demo – Glentress – March 6th

The Glentress demo is an addition to the rest of the BMBS demos in order to get some more extreme terrain and give you a chance to ride some of the freeride and DH options from Trek and the other brands.

The demo itself will be held at the Buzzards nest car park at the top of Glentress, near Peebles, Scotland. A 20 minute demo loop will be set out allowing you to try out plenty of bikes back to back and the freeride park is available for those of you on big bikes. The bikes themselves will be available on a first come first serve basis and bookings will not be taken. You will be required to have a passport/driving licence as deposit while your out riding and all riders must be over 18. Proper safety equipment must be worn, a helmet and appropriate cycling attire is the minimum with full body protection recommended if you’re riding on the freeride park. You will be liable for any loss or damage made through miss use.

BMBS Demo – Sherwood Pines – March 27/28th

Sherwood Pines is the first stage of the BMBS and has a fast flat course perfect for testing the Elite hardtails and Top Fuels.

A 20 minute demo loop will be set out allowing you to try out plenty of bikes back to back. The bikes themselves will be available on a first come first serve basis and bookings will not be taken. You will be required to have a passport/driving license as deposit while your out riding and all riders must be over 18. Proper safety equipment must be worn, a helmet and appropriate cycling attire is the minimum with full body protection recommended if you’re riding on the freeride park. Margham Park is the third stage of the BMBS.

Newnham Park is the last stage of the 2010 BMBS.

Trek Fuel EX

The EX is Treks most popular full platform, aimed squarely at the ‘do it all’ trail riders out there. It has what is now regarded as the ‘perfect trail travel’ at 120mm meaning this bike is as much at home on the climbs as it is confident in the descents. If you want a bike to ride on your local trails, take to trail centers with the occasional trip to the Alps then look no further. The geometry is slightly shorter and more upright making it perfect for long days out in the saddle and the effective ABP/Full Floater combination will keep you feeling fresh.

Like the Top Fuel and Remedy, The EX is available in Ali and US-made OCLV carbon flavors with a choice of spec including the new proprietary DRCV shock on the EX8 and above. The Trek demo fleet features the EX 8 and EX 9.9 below.

Why EX? In 2005 an ‘extreme’ version of the Fuel evolved, hence, Fuel EX.
